There is always a lot to talk about in Eagle TV! Writing it all down helps us put our thoughts in perspective, allows us to share our thoughts with others, gives us a chance to improve our story pitching techniques and gives us a forum to reflect on the projects and stories that we work on every day.
We are touched by the stories we come in contact with, whether we shoot them, edit them, produce them or watch them. They make us sad, happy, reflective, and hopefully a little wiser with each assignment. We meet new people, we learn new things and we get a chance to broaden our horizons by stepping out of our comfort zones every once in a while.
Sharing these stories is what we're all about. Educating, entertaining and informing our viewers is what we want to do. Hopefully we will reach others in what we present on Eagle TV.
We are passionate about some stories and some...not so much, but with every assignment, it is my hope that you continue to learn to be a responsible reporter; be fair, accurate and true and tell a good story. There are a lot of them out there!!
START WRITING AND PRODUCING!
I learned alot the past three semesters in broadcasting and plan on using all my skills to produce fantastic news stories.-Candice
ReplyDeleteI am currently working on the Carey Washington story.I am just now beginning to see how fun this really can be when you are producing a story that you are interested in.Knowing what to put next when you are just logging and capturing is the best!!!!It is so much easier than just sitting and staring at the edit machine.Jocelyn D.

Hey Watson and everybody else in the world. Im a late comer, but I am currently working with my fellow group members doing the Carey Washington story. Seeing it come together is beautiful. I am learning new ways to put the video and subjects together. My group members show me something new everyday, and if we contribute different ideas and suggestions and mold them together this story will be a classic.

ReplyDeletehey watso, this semester has not been a great start 4 me, my group as been jumpin from project 2 project and some ppl ruin things 4 othas and othas r forced 2 quit a project they were working on, split up and is forced 2 do work that is 2 stressful 2 handle and leaving that project unfinished is jus torture i cnt even go in the same edit room cuz i will try 2 finish it and 4get abt the otha project.
ReplyDeleteTHE NEW project is so stressful becuz we r so limited and we cnt use n e thing thats been shot already i jus 1 finish the open and call it a day. being the stn convention and all y would they give us a competition on a friday instead of a monday it makes it even harder to do. life is so unfair
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs to stay focused and know exactly what there job is and how to do it. Help each other out and the project will get done alot faster!!
ReplyDeleteMy project is ok. We just dont have alot of video and we should have wrote a script befor we started.
ReplyDeleteok im here again. our groups computer in fried and we dont kno wats wrong with it. we will have to capture all our footage monday which is a waste of time but $@#! happens.

ReplyDeleteLove You Ms. Watson and Happy early Birthday!!
Going to Washington was an eye opener for me. I learned a lot while i was up there. There are several things that particularly stood out in my mind. One...It's freakin cold! Two...Our school sets their goals very high and does whatever it takes to achieve them. There were many days filled of hard work and sleepless nights, but in the end it was all for the better.
ReplyDeleteWell we have been hitting some walls lately in my group. Today we went to get nicks interviews and my work interfered and it was to late to interview nick at the crash site. Lastly his mom didnt want to b interviewed today. But we are going to get nicks interview tomorrow after school and try to gets his moms again if not we will have to do without hers.
ReplyDeleteOh and happy late bday Watso!!
ReplyDeleteMy groups first news story has a lot of potential its just been a difficult puzzle to put together. We have had situations in which we were forced to be very resourceful as far as footage. This may possible be the longest editing process ever. However I believe my group can pull it off lol (LOVE YOU ALL) …
